Steam Locomotive class Ptl 2/2 ‘‘Glassbox’’ of the  Royal Bavarian State Railways. Wheel arrangement 0-4-0. At thw start of this century the Royal Bavarian State Railways had a great need of light locomotives and coach sets for service in the greathly expanding network of branch lines. Starting in 1906, the locomotive works Krauss in Munich built the prototypes for the ROCO ‘‘Glassbox’’ during 1908/1909. The locomotives had a power output of 154 kW and a maximum speed of 50 km/h. Additional information can be found in the book ‘‘Der Glaskasten’’ (German text only) (84001) - see page 175. Matching coaches 44014. The model has both axles ratio drive train, flywheel and the extensive use of metal parts assure smooth running performance. Livery and lettering for era I. Length over buffers 80 mm.
